Kemi Kayode, a Nigerian-born Christian music singer from the South-Western portion of the country, has released her new single titled ‘Imole,’ which is translated from Yoruba, a major language in the Western part of the country, to signify Light in English.

The beautiful soulful track, produced by skilled music producer Coublon, is a combination of English and Yoruba languages, as well as the Yoruba’s rich musical culture. In this song, Kemi acknowledges God’s magnificent light that shines on our journey for generations.

Speaking about the song’s inspiration, she explained that while we are in the dark era of the world, as described in Isaiah 60:2, the Lord will come upon us His children and cause His splendor to be shown in us, hence the name Imole (Light).

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. – Isaiah 60:2
